Naturally analytical and detail-oriented, you enjoy understanding the bigger picture while ensuring every detail is accurate. Most importantly, you're eager to keep learning and develop your technical expertise in a professional environment. Working alongside an experienced assurance team, you'll be involved in independent review and compilation engagements from planning through to completion. Your days will include preparing financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, maintaining quality working papers, liaising with clients and keeping projects on track against agreed budgets and deadlines. You'll also have the opportunity to support more junior team members as your experience grows. You'll enjoy the variety of clients and industries you'll work with, giving you the opportunity to strengthen your technical skills while contributing to high-quality engagements. What you'll need A BCom degree and completed SAICA articles are essential, while a PGDA or CTA would be advantageous. You'll have a solid understanding of IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, experience preparing financial statements using CaseWare Working Papers and strong Excel skills. Good organisational ability, sound judgement and the confidence to manage multiple deadlines will help you succeed in this role.
