JOB DESCRIPTION
A fixed-term contract opportunity has arisen within the Menswear division which includes Markham, Fabiani, G Star and Relay of the company for an Accountant. This role will report to the Head of Finance in Menswear to provide financial compliance, reporting, planning and cost management across the division
Key Responsibilities:
- Supportthe Business Partner and Management Accountant in analysing managementreportsand financial performance of the divisions against its specificbudgets;
- Assist withpreparation and analysis of standard monthly management reports (OPEX and CAPEX), and provide interpretation and commentary for review;
- Supportwithyear-end procedures and reports;
- Assisting withrecharges of overhead costs to other divisions in the group and relatedqueries;
- Populate journal templates and supporting documentation to submit to theRecordtoReport function within Shared Services (including but not limitedtoaccruals, year-end journals, intercompany entries);
- Performsundrycost centre management activities;
- Preparead hoc or tailored financial reports required by the division;
- Performbusinessunit specific finance activities, or ad hoc finance activitiesrequiringcontact or physical interface with colleagues in thedivisions;
- SupporttheFinance and Systems Management CoE on new systems orprojectsrequirement gathering, testing and deployment;
- Provideassistanceto non-financial line managers and reporting on all financialaspectsrelating to their area / cost centres on both OPEX and CAPEX, including supplier queries;
- Assistinreconciliation of monthly financial results to the Integratedfinancialplan and rolling 12 months forecast and provide analysisandunderstanding of these results
- Assistinthe finalisation of the month-end close off process; and Budgets
- Assisting linemanagers with SAP BPC budget tool capturing and balancing;
- Assistinthe preparation and completion of various monthly & quarterlyexcelspreadsheets for reporting purposes;
- Populate journal templates and supporting documentation to submit to the RecordtoReport function within Shared Services (including but not limited toaccruals, year-end journals, intercompany entries);
- CoupaandSharepoint support to Business;
- Assist inreconciling COUPA GRIR to services rendered/goods delivered;
- Otherad-hocduties and allocated project
Qualifications and Experience:
- Diploma/BCom/HonsDegreein Financial Management Accountingor equivalent
- 4+ years postqualification experience.
- ThoroughKnowledgeof Accounting procedures and principles
- Experience in budgeting, reporting and financial risk management
