About the position

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking a hire a skilled and commercially minded Accountant with SAICA or SAIPA qualification and 3–5 years’ experience in the hospitality sector. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting knowledge, proven expertise in multi-entity financial management, and the ability to provide insightful financial analysis to support business decisions.

• SAIPA/SAICA qualified with 3-5 years of hospitality experience.
  
• Solid accounting knowledge and understanding of IFRS for SMEs / GAAP.
  
• Proven ability in reconciliations, VAT, and month-end close.
  
• Strong Excel and Xero (or similar) skills.
  
• Experience managing multi-entity structures essential.
  
• Commercially minded, able to analyze performance and support budgets.
  
• Confident communicator across all levels.
  
• Highly organized, detail-focused, and proactive.
  

Requirements

• SAICA or SAIPA qualified accountant.
  
• 3–5 years’ relevant experience in the hospitality industry
  
• Strong accounting knowledge, including IFRS for SMEs and GAAP.
  
• Proven ability in reconciliations, VAT, and month-end close.

• Advanced Excel skills and experience with Xero or similar accounting software.
