About the position

ACCOUNT MANAGER

Be an integral park of a team that re-shapes the online video market in South Africa.
Are you an account manager working in a digital agency but feeling under-valued, under-stimulated and looking for a more exciting opportunity in your career with loads of growth? Working with the cutting edge of digital marketing primarily in the YouTube and online video space. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing a few of our strategic clients and ensuring the excellent quality of our work for them with efficient project management and excellent customer service and communication.

The Position: We're looking for a energetic Account Manager to be based in Zonnebloem, Cape Town. The pay range on offer is R30 000.00 to R35 000.00 (Negotiable) Package Per Month.

Requirements:

  • Completed Matric
  • Completed a tertiary Degree
  • Previous experience as an Account Manager / Digital Marketer
  • 3 to 5 years relevant experience
  • Own reliable transport with valid drivers license - essential
  • South African with a valid South African ID
  • An absolute passion for YouTube and online video
  • Must be comfortable in a fast paced environment with a small team
  • Have excellent people skills and be intuitive to customer's business needs
  • Strong strategic thinker with a detailed understanding of the digital landscape
  • Be able to put together presentations (strategies, data, reviews, new business etc)
  • Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  • Be able to work effectively remotely
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • Calmly deal with customer complaints and issues
  • The ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good PC and software skills (Google Docs and Canva experience essential)
  • Basic accounting (quoting and invoicing) and/or technical knowledge
  • Be well-groomed and presentable
  • Understand sales from sourcing leads to developing pitches and sealing deals
  • Existing base of contacts
  • Existing experience in the digital video space
  • Experience in sales will be an advantage
  • Aptitude in networking and building relationships
  • Ability to prioritize and meet critical deadlines
  • Problem-solving and negotiation aptitude

Requirements:

  • Perform quality controls and monitor KPIs
  • Find ways to increase quality of customer service - Inspiring repeat business from clients
  • Conducting customer service workshops and presentations
  • Monitoring and measuring client satisfaction
  • Liaising with different departments about client queries
  • Offering advice to clients on services and products
  • Developing surveys and capturing client information
  • Participating in marketing campaigns
  • Dealing with client requests and troubleshooting problems
  • Develop and maintain strategic long-term trusting relationships with clients
  • Assess client's needs and business objectives and upsell our company's services

  • Resolve customers' complaints in an effective and respectful way
  • Manage a client's projects and campaigns from beginning to end
  • Serve as contact point for key customers and internal teams
  • Coordinate with various teams so that the customer's expectations are met
  • Assist all teams to meet financial targets and growth objectives and work with sales on costings and campaign management
  • Help develop initiatives to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Keep abreast with industry and market trends and best practices
  • Research and source new potential clients
