About the position

Key Responsibilities

General Support and Administration

  • Assist with the preparation, drafting, and submission of correspondence to clients, landlords, and tenants.
  • Draft and submit schedules and update reports.
  • Compile monthly internal department progress reports with input from the Executive Head.
  • Conduct market research and update divisional budgets and income forecasts.
  • Attend meetings with landlords on behalf of clients.
  • Calculate commissions and fees earned for departmental services.
  • Update debtor comments and follow up on outstanding invoices.
  • Maintain lease-related information, documents, and records.
  • Organise and file documents.
  • Assist in preparing client presentations and reports, including graphic illustrations.
  • Analyse and compare rental commitments, including Net Present Value (NPV) calculations.
  • Perform commercial due diligence (CDD) assessments.
Lease Management – Portfolio of Leases

  • Liaise daily with clients and landlords.
  • Track lease expiries and manage renewals or relocations proactively.
  • Prepare market research reports on current rentals, escalations, market conditions, building grades, vacancies, and location analysis.
  • Provide recommendations to clients based on research and specific mandates.
  • Advise clients on lease terms, market norms, and rental benchmarks.
  • Draft and submit leases, addendums, letters, notices, and offers to lease, sell, renew, or terminate.
  • Ensure lease agreements are accurate and, in the client’s, best interest.
  • Calculate commissions and raise invoices.
  • Perform monthly and annual account reconciliations.
Minimum Requirements

Education:

  • Matric (Compulsory)
  • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Property, Real Estate, Finance, or a related field (Preferred)
Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role within the commercial property sector
Skills and Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of commercial property, lease negotiation, property law, and valuation methods
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport
