Academic Module Guide Writer and Moderator - Cybersecurity
We are seeking independent contractors with expertise in core and advanced areas of cybersecurity, including Linux operating systems and administration, Python programming for cybersecurity, and concepts in cybersecurity analysis. Candidates should have practical experience in advanced cybersecurity systems practice, digital forensics, and encryption techniques and cryptography, as well as an understanding of essential techniques used in ethical hacking and penetration testing. The role requires strong technical capability across cybersecurity operations, analysis, and investigative practices to support robust and secure information systems.
Duties & Responsibilities
CORE PURPOSE:
To create comprehensive and engaging module content that ensures alignment with programme objectives and enhances student learning outcomes.
To ensure the quality, accuracy, and alignment of module content with programme outcomes, assessment criteria, and academic standards.
CORE FUNCTIONS:

QUALIFICATION(S):
• A relevant PHD NQF Level 10 qualification (with extensive academic experience) or
• A relevant Masters NQF Level 09 qualification (with extensive academic experience) or
• A relevant Honours NQF Level 08 qualification (with extensive academic experience)
EXPERIENCE:
RELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
• Knowledge of the South African Higher Education Regulatory Framework
• Ability to work within pre-determined time frames and meet deadlines
• Excellent academic writing and communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism in academic writing
• Proficient in the use of technological systems
• Possess a high level of ethics
• Knowledge of Blooms Taxonomy verbs and SAQA Level descriptors
