Academic Module Guide Updater and Moderator - IT & Business Specialization.
We are seeking independent contractors with expertise in computing and business analysis, including research methods for computing, solution assessment and validation, and the development of effective business requirements. Candidates should also have experience in enterprise analysis and process modelling and analysis. The role involves moderating and guiding learning to ensure students acquire the analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills needed to assess, design, and improve computing and business processes effectively.
Duties & Responsibilities
CORE PURPOSE:
• The Module Guide Updater ensures content aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided by MANCOSA by updating the existing content to align to current industry standards.
• The Module Guide Moderator ensures content is aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided by MANCOSA.
CORE FUNCTIONS:
• To update the module guide content aligned to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided using the online Curriculum Development and Management System.
• To moderate the module guide content to ensure alignment to the module outcomes and associated assessment criteria as per the requirements provided using the online Curriculum Development and Management System.
Desired Experience & Qualification
QUALIFICATION(S):
• A relevant PHD NQF Level 10 qualification (with extensive academic experience) or
• A relevant Masters NQF Level 09 qualification (with extensive academic experience) or
• A relevant Honours NQF Level 08 qualification (with extensive academic experience)
EXPERIENCE:
• 2-5 years Academic experience
• Module Guide Updating or Moderation experience
RELATED KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
• Knowledge of the South African Higher Education Regulatory Framework
• Ability to work within pre-determined time frames and meet deadlines
• Excellent academic writing and communication skills
• Ability to demonstrate professionalism in academic writing
• Proficient in the use of technological systems
• Possess a high level of ethics
• Knowledge of Blooms Taxonomy verbs and SAQA Level descriptors
