MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
The Retail Channel Assistant's responsibility is to assist and support the Group HMR/Retail Deli Manager to achieve the HMR / Meal Creation objectives for the group.
FINANCIAL FOCUS (INDEPENDENCE)
- Assist with new customers credit applications ensuring that all supporting documents are included
- Assist in achieving set trading targets in terms of sales and gross profit figures.
- Assist in identifying and implementing opportunities to improve the net profit of the allocated and "new potential" customer base.
- Assist in increasing existing product range at customers.
- Actively driving promotions.
- Assist is ensuring that the correct product, description and pricing is issued to the customer.
CUSTOMER FOCUS
- Assist with daily operations, industry planning and tasks, monitoring performance and product requirements, providing required feedback reports to ensuring smooth and efficient results.
- Support day-to-day HMR operations.
- To assist in building the Deli Spices brand, using market knowledge and experience to establish a competitive business platform.
- Maintain and build strong business relationships and services internally and externally, with existing and new customers. Report and liaise with Group HMR/Retail Deli Manager, branch executives and internal sales team.
- Handle queries and resolve issues in a timely and effective manner.
- Assist in developing and implementing strategies to improve business process, meet budgets, monitor sales program and create reports.
- Assist in implementing promotions, product information, training and launches.
- Assist in analysing data and sales reports to determine strengths and weaknesses of promotional activities and programmes.
- Encourage team to reach and exceed goals while implementing the companies' policies and regulations.
- Assist with the HMR E-learning platform, ensuring successful completion and results.
- Assist in updating HMR documents.
- Support the division in the absence of the Group HMR/Retail Deli Manager ensuring that daily operations continue.
- Assist in ensuring that all aspects of training and presenting are prepared and conducted in a professional manner to achieve the required results.
- Create a positive product impression and generate brand awareness for on-site/in-store food and non-food demonstrations.
- Proactively intercept, engage, interact and communicate with consumers to demonstrate products features and benefits in a professional manner.
- Provide excellent customer service and develop professional working relationships effectively to meet Deli Spices and client objectives.
- Identify opportunities for campaigns/promotions, service and distribution channels.
