5T Dayshift Forklift Driver-PFG Building Glass Springs at PG Group

About the position

PFG is the leading manufacturer of float glass in Southern Africa, as well as laminated glass, mirrors, and sealant products. The company produces 260 000 tons of float glass products per annum, supplying into both domestic and international building and automotive industries.

MAIN JOB PURPOSE

Operate forklift / Overhead crane in accordance with agreed standard procedures and ensure that safety standards are performed. Ensure that full inspections are maintained, recorded and reported to the Cold End Co-ordinator. Ensure that all the glass is packed and stored according to requirements in the correct manner and location.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED

• School - Mandatory Grade 12
• In possession of a valid code 8 drivers licence
• In possession of a valid 5/12ton forklift licence
• In possession of a valid overhead crane licence

JOB RELATED EXPERIENCE

• 5 ton forklift - 6 months experience in a glass handling environment
• 12 ton forklift - 1 year experience in glass handling environment.
