About the position

Job Summary:
A reputable legal firm based in Sinoville, Pretoria North is seeking an experienced 3rd Party Claims Typist to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for typing and managing third-party claims documentation with accuracy and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

• Typing of legal documents and correspondence related to third-party claims.
• Uploading and managing documentation via Court Online and CaseLine.
• Liaising with attorneys, clerks, and relevant court staff where necessary.
• Maintaining accurate filing systems (both physical and electronic).
• Ensuring deadlines are met and work is completed with a high level of accuracy.
• Assisting with general administrative tasks as required by the legal team.

Minimum Requirements:

• Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Third-Party Claims Typist in a legal environment.
• Skills & Knowledge:
• Proficient in Court Online and CaseLine systems.
• Strong typing skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of legal processes relating to third-party (RAF) claims.
• Ability to draft and format pleadings, notices, and other legal documents.
• Familiarity with filing court documents electronically.
• Technical Competence:
• Proficient in MS Office (Word, Outlook).
• Fast and accurate typing speed (50+ wpm preferred).
• Personal Attributes:
• Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
