About the position
Our client, a leading construction, logistics, and mining business, is currently looking to hire 2 x Mechanical Millwrights to join their growing team on a 12 month contract with potential to be renewed. This role will be based in Guinea, West Africa.
Minimum Requirements:
- Trade-tested Millwright
- 5+ years' relevant experience
- Must have strong mechanical (80%) and electrical (20%) expertise
- Experience with working on mobile crushers (cone and Jaw) Conveyors and Stacker reclaimers
- Must have previous expat experience
- Valid passport
- Willing to work rotations in Guinea (8 weeks on, 2 weeks off)
Core skills and experience:
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and fixed plant equipment.
- Precision Tools: Proficiency in drilling machines and precision measuring tools.
- Maintenance and Repair: Ability to disassemble, repair, and maintain machinery based on technical manuals.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting capabilities to identify faults in machinery.
- Safety Awareness: Knowledge of lock-out/tag-out procedures, risk assessment, and PPE.
- Reading Technical Drawings: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Fault finding, preventative maintenance, and ensuring optimal equipment performance in a mining environment
