What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead the planning and delivery of transport infrastructure programmes
• Oversee maintenance and capital works across the road network
• Manage contracts, consultants, and contractors
• Drive asset management planning and long-term infrastructure strategies
• Monitor performance, budgets, and project timelines
• Engage with key stakeholders including government bodies and the public
• Lead and develop a high-performing team
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and policy standards
What We’re Looking For
Non-negotiable:
A genuine interest in relocating to New Zealand
Experience:
• 8–10+ years in civil engineering
• Strong exposure to roads / transport infrastructure projects
• Experience in contract management and project delivery
• Asset management experience is highly advantageous
Qualifications:
• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field
Technical Skills:
• Familiarity with asset management systems (RAMM advantageous)
• AutoCAD and Microsoft Office proficiency
Personal Style:
• Strong communicator with stakeholder engagement skills
• Organised, proactive, and solutions-driven
• Comfortable in a structured, compliance-focused environment
