PARTNERSHIP MANAGER

Reporting to: Managing Director and/or Chairman           

Location: Pretoria or JHB

Level:    EXCO appointment

               

Responsibilities & Requirements:

1. Develop and implement a strategy to engage government and NGOs with the work Shout-it-Now does in South Africa
2. Develop and establish key relationships with National and Provincial government officials
3. Represent Shout-it-Now  in meetings with National, Provincial and District health & education departments
4. Assists in the development and negotiation of Memorandum of Understandings with government departments and NGOs
5. Coordinate and conduct tours of Shout-it-Now’s teams with government and NGO visitors
6. Makes public oral presentations to the Board and other public agencies and community groups.
7. Identify and solicit for Shout-it-Now appropriate Request for Proposals and assist in the writing and the responses to funding proposals
8. Track and report on policy changes and new/pending legislation related to health & education
9. Composes correspondence to government ministers and government departments on behalf of Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors.
10. Ability to conducts self in an appropriate manner as a representative of Shout-it-Now , working effectively in a diverse work environment.
11. Participate in general management of the organization as a member of the executive committe

 

Candidate Background:

1. Ability to problem solve & conceptualize issues
2. Good written skills and ability to document meetings
3. Good communication with multiple levels of stakeholders – top to bottom
4. Understanding  the workings, culture and structure of the SA government
5. Ability to negotiate key agreements
6. Public Speaking & ability to represent organization
7. Self-Starter
8. Fluent in multiple South African Languages
9. Combined 7+ years of experience in government and business.
10. Prior NGO experience is NOT a requirement
11. Any qualification - Marketing/business development/Sales

 

Target Total Compensation:

• R450k – R550k
