Warehouse Assistant Manager

About the position

We are seeking for a dynamic Warehouse Assistant Manager. You will prepare and maintain a variety of records and reports related to warehouse activities, personnel, and equipment. Supervise Warehouse Personnel. Assist with the operation of the warehouses (e.g., receives, maintains inventory, coordinates deliveries, organizes orders)

Key responsibilities

• Ensures processes and procedures are compliant with the company and legal guidelines
• Manages inventory control levels between warehouse and units, by consistently conducting physical counts
• Achieves financial objectives by supporting the preparation of an annual budget
• Inspect and maintaining equipment
• Encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met
• Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
• Loading/unloading vans and freight trucks with the forklift
• Maintain physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts

Requirements

• Must be computer literate in Excel, Word & Outlook
• Good leadership skills

Qaulification and experience

• Matric / Grade 12
• A tertiary degree or diploma an advantage
• Professional Certificate in Logistics and Warehouse Management
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the warehousing environment
• Knowledge of Sage an advantage
