About the position

The position of Team Leader is vacant. The Team Leader will report directly to the Regional Manager and forms part of the Client Liaison Office Division. The position is based in Pretoria.

The total remuneration package will be R 609 247 per annum, dependent of skills and experience.

The Team Leader will be required to provide support to the Regional Manager through the implementation of the following Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

Key Performance Areas (KPAs):

  • To manage the daily operations of the CLO Unit.
  • Set performance targets, plans and goals for the Client Liaison Officers against the operational plan.
  • Conduct feedback sessions regularly on set targets.
  • Clearly define roles and responsibilities.
  • Allocate duties, deadlines and resources.
  • Prioritise activities and projects and ensure timeous execution of the plans.
  • Monitor and manage Client Liaison Officers' daily activities.
  • Ensure adherence to work schedules by the Client Liaison Officers.
  • Ensure continuous improvement in the quality of work rendered by the CLOs.
  • Follow up on escalated queries on a daily basis and escalate unresolved queries.
  • Maintain positive Scheme member and stakeholder relationships.
  • Facilitate effective communication between members and stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication with the Scheme's Administrator and marketing team to coordinate events.
  • Manage the CLO team in accordance with GEMS HR Policies.
  • Compile weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports for submission to the CLO Manager; and
  • Provide ad hoc information when requested.

Qualification requirements are:

  • A National Diploma / Advanced certificate at an NQF Level 6.
  • RE5 (advantageous).
  • 2- 3 years in Experience in sales, business development, client service or customer relationship management.
  • Must have 1- 2 years' experience in managing team.
  • Be computer literate.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license.
  • Must be willing to travel at a short notice.
  • Knowledge of the South African medical scheme industry (advantageous).

  • Have the ability to work well as part of a team.
  • Be responsible, reliable, and assertive.
  • Have a diligent work ethics with attention to detail.

  • Ability to give advice and engage respectfully with various stakeholders.
  • Attention to details.
  • Results and target driven.
