Semi Skilled Mechanic

About the position

An unbelievable opportunity exists for the candidate who is a Semi-skilled mechanic and who loves the bush. Based in the beautiful Kalahari on the largest privately owned Game Reserve in the Southern hemisphere you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing vehicles with the end goal alwaysto be aimed for vehicle maximum funtionality and reliability exceptional customer service.

Required:
2 - 3 years of experience as a semi Auto Mechanic or similar role
2 - 3 years of experience with vehicle diagnostic systems and methods

Knowledge:

• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Experience and good knowledge of vehicles
• Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles
• Working knowledge of vehicle diagnostic systems and methods
• Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift)

Other requirements

• Drivers Licence Code C1 or CB with PDP
• Language proficiency: English (Speak, read and write)

Must be in good physical and mental health

The Role:

Maintaining and repairing vehicles will be the main function. The goal will always be to aim for vehicles' maximum functionality and reliability to provide exceptional customer service

• Inspect mechanical and electrical component
• Inspect vehicle engine
• Diagnose issues timely and accurately
• Inspect vehicle computer and electronic systems
• Conduct regular maintenance work such as replacing fluids, lubricating parts
• Schedule future maintenance sessions
• Advise motorists on good vehicle use
• Offer our products and services
• Build relationships with clients
• Act as an advisor and give useful advices for car maintenance
• Bill services
