About the position

DUR002105 – NATIONAL CROP NUTRITION SALES MANAGER (CAPE TOWN)

Purpose of the Job:
This global plant nutrition and bio-stimulants company requires a National Sales Manager to develop and grow the company’s market share, brand awareness and business relationships within the commercial agricultural sector.

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • B Sc Agric – Agronomy, Crop Science, Plant Pathology, Soil Science or similar.
  • At least 3 years of plant nutrition sales experience in a reputable commercial company.
  • Must be familiar with Western Cape crops & the commercial farming community.
  • A high degree of computer literacy.
  • Fluency in Afrikaans essential.

Technical Competencies & Experience:

  • Sales - develop and implement strategy.
  • Business relationships - develop & build relationships with distributors and farmers.
  • Finances – budgeting, monitoring, & controlling sales performance & variances.
  • Supply chain – manage & control stock, transport, logistics & distribution.
  • Technical research & innovation – stay abreast of recent & relevant technology.
  • Competitor research – stay abreast of competitor pricing & activities.
  • Commercial analysis – data & market share analysis & trends.
  • New business – identifying opportunities & aggressively growing market share.

Remuneration:
Highly competitive, but dependent upon skills and experience.
