Recruiter (Enrolled Nurse Permanent Part time 20 hours per week)

About the position

Main purpose of the job:

• To recruit eligible and willing participants for the study

Location:

• Chris Hani Baragwanath Academic Hospital, Soweto - Johannesburg

Key performance areas:

• Build trust between the community and the study
• Recruit eligible participants
• Train participants in terms of the study and anticipated outcomes
• Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly recruitment reports
• Conduct follow-up visits or telephone calls
• Understand the clinic environment and adapt to changes
• Build and maintain relationships with the clinic staff
• Perform field work activities as required

Required minimum education and training:

• Certificate in Enrolled Nursing

Required minimum work experience:

• 1 year experience working at clinics around Soweto

Desirable additional education, work experience, and personal abilities:

• Able to work in a complex and demanding environment
• Knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Experience working in clinical trials
• Good communication skills (both written and verbal)
• Established links with key stakeholders in a high-risk population
• Must possess strong organizational skills
• Must be detail-oriented
• Must be able to work in a team and independently
• It is expected that he/she will apply consistent adherence to research and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) practices
