Our client in the automotive component manufacturing industry, based in Port Elizabeth, is currently looking to employ a Production Supervisor.
Job Overview:
Planning, organization coordination and control of production. Endeavour to produce as much as possible at the lowest possible cost. Activities include the anticipation of production, factory layout, the drawing up of a production plan and quality standards.

Requirements:
- 10 years of experience in a production environment.
- Diploma / NQF level 5 in Production Management / Industrial Engineering.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Evaluates operational workflows and procedures to improve job processes on an ongoing basis.
- Ensures optimization of resources with respect to current workloads.
- Ensures maintenance and optimal usage of resources and recommends additions or replacement of resources.
- Monitors and ensures that all resources conform to guidelines.
- Ensures fast and timeous delivery of parts to customers according to schedule.
- Ensures optimization of machinery to maximize capacity utilization.
- Manages and ensures effective and efficient maintenance of production processes.
- Reports production statistics, productivity etc. to the General manager on a daily, weekly and monthly basis.
- Ensures that the working environment contributes to improve staff morale and increase productivity.
- Responsible for planning of the day-to-day operations.
- Inspects facility and equipment to determine need and extend of service, equipment required, type of equipment required, and production staff required.
- Optimizes resources to control and reduce costs.
- Coordinating with other departments, such as HR, Sales and Purchasing, to ensure effective communication and alignment of goals.
- Maintain & set production objectives, KPI’s and challenges.
