Payroll Officer

About the position

Our client, a specialist in pioneering solutions within the built environment, specializing in HVAC, energy, electronic services and building management services is looking for a qualified and experienced individual to join their HR team and manage the payroll function!



Requirements:

• Grade 12
• Relevant HR Qualification is essential
• 2-3yrs payroll experience within a similar industry
• Knowledge and working experience of SAGE VIP Premier Payroll
• Valid Drivers Licence with own transport

Responsibilities:

• Manage the end-to-end payroll for all employees on the Sage Payroll System
• Responsible for the management of employee records including leave management
• Payroll month end payments and recons
• Responsible for salaries and the preparation and processing of monthly payroll
• Review, capture, and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets, overtime as well as time and attendance information
• Responsible for the administration of timekeeping and timesheets
• Manage and reconcile applicable payroll deductions including garnishments etc.
• Preparation/distribution of detailed payroll reports i.e. labour hours, overtime, leave balances, head count, and retirement contribution reports
• Address any staff payroll queries
• Remain up to date on all legislative and industry requirements
• Booking of all training as per company requirements
• Maintaining administration as per training - invoicing, proof of payment etc.
• Ad hoc HR duties - scheduling of medicals, loading of out-of-town allowances
