About the position

Role Purpose:

Take charge of business operations and its efficiencies, drive sales growth, ensure profitability, and manage staff and operational performance to meet and exceed quality and service standards.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Matric or equivalent with relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous.
  • 3-5 years management experience in related field/s.
  • Computer literate (MS Office, Excel).
  • Code 08 Driver's license with own transport.

Preferred Attributes & Experience:

An energetic, friendly, diligent, and ethical individual with a can-do attitude with good operations, warehousing, stock control, admin, procurement, and people management skills. Customer orientated with some sales experience. Syspro experience would be advantageous. Good understanding of aluminium systems and related products would be advantages.

Primary Duties:

  • Ensure effective and efficient warehouse, storage, receiving, dispatch, distribution, sales, admin and related activities to minimize wastes, operating costs, prevent any losses and have excellent customer service.
  • Provide customer assistance and support, including addressing customer inquiries and facilitating sales transactions.
  • Take responsibility for fleet costs and upkeep and distribution activities.
  • Take responsibility for document control, such as pod's, invoices, purchase orders, credit notes, etc. in all processes.
  • Take responsibility for stock levels, monthly stock-take procedures, and prevent stock losses.
  • Ensure all standard practices and standard operating procedures are sound, up-to-date, communicated and implemented as required.
  • Maintain accurate staff records and time & attendance sheets.
  • Manage staff performance and productivity to ensure optimal cost and quality work from all team members.
  • Monitor and control all operational factors impacting branch profitability.
  • Ensure that building maintenance, housekeeping, security, and safety guidelines are in place, are adhered to and maintained.
  • Assistance and preparations with internal auditors from time to time.
  • Work flexi-time or overtime as and when required to ensure perfect asset control and customer service.
  • Form an active part of the team and perform any other functions that may be required from time to time.
