About the position
Position Overview:
The Maintenance Manager will oversee a comprehensive range of operational responsibilities and departments, including:
- Construction and Maintenance of Poultry Houses
- Maintenance of Egg Packaging Station Equipment
- Maintenance of all Feed Mill Equipment in conjunction with the workshop
- Upkeep and Maintenance on small Abattoir
- Upkeep of Generators and Farm Poutry Machinery
- Oversight of General Farm Building Projects and Construction Initiatives
- Certificate of Trade
Skills and Requirements:
- Proven administrative, managerial, construction, and mechanical expertise
- In-depth knowledge of electrical systems with the ability to install and diagnose issues
- Leadership capabilities to manage a maintenance workforce of 25 employees (Electriciains, Fitters, Welders, Builders, etc) with a focus on achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and meticulous attention to detail
- Experience in project management, building, plumbing, and electrical work
- Ability to foster discipline and accountability, aiming to cultivate a productive team dedicated to quality workmanship
- Ability to plain for spares and stock items in advance
- Commitment to cost control while ensuring effective and efficient operations
- Proficiency in computer usage, including reporting and data management
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a comparable Maintenance Management role
- Excellent references, commendable personal habits, a high level of accountability, and outstanding initiative are essential
