About the position
Well known medical supplier based in Midrand requires an Inventory Assistant with previous or current stock control experience within the "medical device" or healthcare industry.
Grade 12 (Matric) is a minimum requirement
Logistics / Supply Chain or Financial qualifications will be a definite advantage
Managing "medical consignment stock", kits, short term stock, warehouse levels, rotation of short-dated stock, demo, sample and expired stock, compiling of orders to suppliers, minimum stock level review and ETA tracking on ordered stock
Management of consignment levels, annexures, and discrepancies
Management of kit ROI, stock levels, replenishment, discrepancies, and invoicing of items used
Ensuring the return of short-term stock shorter than 7 days, which have not been used and invoicing such items
Ensuring that stock levels in C6 and J6 are updated on a quarterly basis.
Replenishment to C6 done on a weekly basis
Minimizing stock write-offs by rotating short dated and/or slow-moving items to higher volume accounts.
Allocating stock to back-orders
Managing back-orders by:
Allocating slow-moving items to fill back orders;
Managing ETA of ordered stock and drafting letters to customers where necessary for Product Manager’s approval
Assisting Product Manager with weekly Need To Order report
Assisting with demo, sample, and expired stock to comply with Regulatory requirements
Experience in "medical consignment stock management" is essential
Experience in Inventory Management, Control and Procedures in the Medical Device industry will be advantageous
Experience in ERP would be an advantage
Analytical skills and management experience
Skilled in Microsoft Office with advanced MS Excel is a requirement
SQL & Microsoft ODBC would be an advantage
