Internal Auditor

About the position

Internal Auditor required for a reputable automotive manufacturing company based in East London, Eastern Cape 

Requirements:

• Minimum requirements: National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / BTech Quality Management
• VDA – QMC – certified, VDA6.3 Auditor, Core Tools VDA-QMC & ISO 19011 knowledge as well as VDA 6.5
• At least 5 years Quality Assurance experience in the Automotive manufacturing sector with a proven track record
• Qualifications on ISO9001; IATF16949 standards and VDA6.3 Process Auditor
• Fully conversant in G8D, APQP, PPAP, PSW, FMEA & Control Plans
• Product Safety & Conformity Representative (PSCR)
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings
• Knowledge of CMM gages and fixtures
• Knowledge of Measurement System Analysis
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Sound technical capabilities and understanding
• Computer literacy in MS Office
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a team

Responsibilities: 

• Conducting internal and supplier process audits according to VDA6.3 Process Audit
• Conduct internal audits system and process audits as per audit schedule
• Prepare for external system audits including IATF16949
• Prepare for external customer process audits VDA6.3
• Close out all audit findings within the stipulated time frames (i.e. internal process / supplier customer / system)
• Maintain the Quality Management System
• Conducting customer product & dock audits according to customer specific requirements (VDA 6.5)
• Implement and manage the Layered Audit process
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
