Insurance Manager

About the position

Underwriting and Claims Manager, with minimum 2 years' experience in a similar or Team Leader role and minimum 5 years' Personal Lines Short Term Insurance experience, required to lead a team in managing underwriting processes, claims operations and client relationships. This position is for a national Broker Firm based in Cape Town CBD.

Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12 essential
• FAIS accreditation as pe the FSCA requirements essential
• RE essential
• Minimum 5 years' short term insurance experience required
• Minimum 2 years' management or Team Leader experience required

Responsibilities:

• Lead a team in managing underwriting and claims processes and provide guidance and support
• Manage Personal Lines underwriting process
• Assess and evaluate risk factors
• Ensure consistency and accuracy across the team
• Oversee end to end claims process
• Process claims and recoveries
• Complaint resolution
• Meet SLA's
• Client relationship management
• Ensure accurate communication with all stakeholders
• Performance management
• Set objectives and performance expectations
