About the position

Skills and Requirements:

  • Adminitrative, management, poultry husbandry and poultry mechanical skills a must
  • Leadership of work-force focusing on delivery of KPI's with attention to detail
  • Driven by costs controls, whilst ensuring effective and efficient operations
  • Commercial poultry health and bio-security knowledge
  • Experience in managing a similar commercial layer operation
  • Promote discipline and accountabilty with a focus on building a productive team
  • Computer literate, with reporting and data capturing ability
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a similar position
  • Young, energetic and entusiactic
  • Must have good referrences, quality personal habbits, and be able to work smart and hard

General:

  • Answerable directly to the Managing Director & Board of Directors
  • Ech department has a HoD Manager and supervisors below them
  • Ability to climb the coperate lader
  • Manage the Heads of Departments i.e. Rearing Manager, Production Manager, Farm Veterinarian, Packshed Manager, & Plant Superintendant
  • Responsible for 700,000 birds
  • Farm located 30km from Ndola (international airport, 2 flights a day to Joburg) and 35km from Kitwe
