About the position

FINANCE MANAGER (ROAD TRANSPORT INDUSTRY)

We are seeking a Finance Manager for our client in the road transport industry to be based in Durban. The successful incumbent will ensure the integrity of financial reports and records, maintain a strong internal control environment and compliance, deliver accurate forecasting, budgeting, and analytical review of the business. The ideal candidate will be operationally involved to provide critical business support.

 

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or equivalent qualification.
• CPA / CA(SA) or equivalent qualification an advantage.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in related field (Manufacturing experience preferred).
• Experience in a managerial position or supervisory role for the last 3 years.

• Commercial insight into the business and the drive to become operationally involved.
• Deadline driven and capable to provide results in a demanding position.
• Fluent command of English, spoken and written.

• Effective planning, organizational and time management skills.
• Experience in an ERP and reporting system.
• Excellent keyboard skills, computer literate and experienced in spreadsheet packages.
• Quality oriented with attention to details and capable of working to tight deadlines;
• Commercial awareness and strong organisational leadership skills;
• Capable of working on his/her own initiative an absolute requirement;
• Change orientation, understanding people as well as holding the team accountable;
