About the position
Finance Manager
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Finance Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible to ensure maintenance of sound financial management practices of the company by means of strategy development and execution, accurate reporting, as well as implementation of financial controls to minimize business risk.
Key Performance Areas
- Develop and implement effective financial management strategies, so as to ensure efficiencies in financial management.
- Compile accurate management accounts, variance reporting, cash flow forecasts as well as finalization of audited annual financial statements.
- Negotiate favourable terms of banking facilities with service providers.
- Ensure accurate measurement, evaluation and reporting of production costs as well regular stock management.
- Plan for, coordinate, and ensure smooth execution of internal and external financial audits, with minimal findings.
- Manage and develop team members to their full potential, further ensuring that performance outcomes are achieved according to required standards.
- Oversee the procurement function, further ensuring strict adherence to procurement standards and operational efficiencies.
- Support analysis of profitability of capex and investment initiatives
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements that include income task submissions to SARS, compliance with VAT, Income Tax, PAYE, UIF, management of retirement funds, as well as industry requirements.
- Oversee to and ensure effective functioning of the IT systems of the company.
Minimum Requirements
- 5-8 Years’ worth of experience working at management level within a corporate finance environment.
- B Comm Degree with completed Articles / SAICA or higher
- Knowledge of accounting, auditing, taxation and management accounting best practices (IFRS)
- Knowledge of employee benefit schemes including medical aid and retirement fund, among others
- Basic knowledge of IT system functionality
- Basic knowledge of payroll administration, and labour law
