You believe the Grid connection and the Grid Code are the corner stone of all renewable energy projects. You consult with project teams across all phases of the project life cycle. You are the go-to person when it comes to Grid interconnection of Utility Scale PV plants.

What you'll be doing (and why you'll enjoy it)
You will be the primary resource for Solar PV Farm connections to the Eskom Grid you will be the main interface for the South African entity within the global group on all electrical engineering matters related to your scope of work.
You will be working with some of the newest renewable energy technology in the market. This will be a cross functional role within a multicultural, international group.
You will have the opportunity to work with international colleagues, and possibly gain international experience.

Where you'll be doing it
You'll be working for one of the international leaders in the renewable energy space in South Africa. Based in Cape Town with beautiful new offices in the heart of the city with considerable travel to sites as and when required. There is also the potential for international travel when projects are needed.

What you'll need
Professional Registration with ECSA (Pr.Eng)
Electrical Engineering Qualification
5 years' experience in South African Power Industry, preferably solar power
Clear understanding and working experience of Grid Code and its application to Solar PV design
A valid passport and flexibility to travel for a week or two at a time is essential
