About the position
To manage and implement company and divisional strategic objectives
Build better businesses and market share by maximising profitability; through effective relationship building, planning, developing and implementing marketing strategies, discovering new and unique marketing initiatives that builds brand presence in the marketplace
Responsible for the achievement of divisional marketing goals and financial objectives
Develop short- and long-term budgets for the various initiatives and activities, monitor progress and evaluate performance
Monitor the execution of expenses against plan and make the necessary corrections when and if required
Partner with Marketing Directors, Brand / Product Managers through various initiatives, channeling spend to our market
Convert marketing to a profit center, ensuring revenue is generated
Negotiate, list, and manage new marketing suppliers
Promote, grow and support brands through various marketing initiatives
Contribute to the leadership development of people within the division, constantly sharing knowledge & transfer learnings to develop team skills
Provide insight to the team to keep them abreast of market, competitor & industry trends
Support divisional objectives to increase brand footprint
Build a strong brand presence across all our brands, achieving targets set by brand
Identify opportunities to strengthen the brand & execute community brand building initiatives
Ensure compliance with company and legal policies, procedures, and regulations
Manage the controls and administration within the department according to company standards
Develop a national grid with short- and long-term plans and budgets for the various initiatives and activities, monitor progress and evaluate sales performance
Ensure promotional deadlines are met
Develop marketing innovation strategies to provide value & Service Excellence
Provide and receive feedback to all business partners to ensure alignment with strategic initiatives, seamless integration and timeously execution of deliverables
