Our client an iconic 110 year old South African Brand is currently looking for a Credit Manager to be based in Durban, KZN
Position: Credit Manager

Location: Durban,KZN

Role Summary:

The role of the Credit Manager is to manage the credit lending and expenditure of the company

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

• BSc in Accounting, Economics, Banking and Finance or relevant field
• Proven work experience as a Credit Manager, Credit Analyst or similar role
• Hands-on experience with accounting software
• Solid understanding of lending procedures
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets (e.g. in Excel)
• Negotiation skills

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Adhere to the expenditure budget as forecast in the annual meeting.
• Ensure all credit applications are correctly processed and new accounts monitored to create payment history.
• Ensure all company expenditure is necessary, within the companies means and is done following all procedures and policies within the company.
• Authorise all expenditure submitted
• Monitor Petty Cash Claims
• Correctly inform staff of procedures to follow regarding credit.
• Perform any additional tasks as requested within the skill and scope of the position.
