About the position
Our client is a food manufacturer seeking an experienced cost accountant to join their finance team! You will be required to do month-end journals and assist with budgets. You will also be expected to do standard costing and identify variances between the standard costs and actual costs. Additionally, it will be your responsibility to do investigations on stock, price, and usage variances. You will also be responsible for conducting cost reviews and creating purchase orders on some occasions. You will be reporting directly to the finance manager, and you will be assisting them with ad hoc duties occasionally. If you are a bright cost accountant with food manufacturing experience, then this role is for you! Experience in the food manufacturing industry is essential for this role and you must have at least 3 years of experience to be suitable for this role.
