About the position

Red Ember is recruiting an experienced bookkeeper for a client based in Lower Observatory. 

• Compilation of financial statements
  
• Monthly processing
  
• VAT/EMP recons and submissions
  
• Submission of tax returns
  
• Provisional tax calculations and submissions
  
• Personal income tax calculations and submissions
  
• Assistance with day-to-day administration for the finance department
  
• Filing/Scanning
  
• Stationary orders and maintenance
  
• Summarizing of client information in Excel
  

Requirements

• Diploma /Bachelor's/ N6
  
• Knowledge of relevant computer programs such as Pastel and Microsoft Excel
  
• Previous Books to Trial balance experience
  
• Basic accounting knowledge
  
• Bilingual in English / Afrikaans
  
• Attention to detail
  
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  
• Strong analytical and numerical skills
  

Desired Skills:

• Pastel

Desired Qualification Level:

• Grade 12 / Matric
