About the position

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK

The successful candidate will be reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, will be responsible for a portfolio of supplier accounts and will comply with the following minimum requirements:

Job Responsibilities:

• Full responsibility of supplier accounts.
• Processing of supplier invoices for payment.
• Processing of claims against suppliers.
• Payments of suppliers within agreed payment terms.
• Monthly Reconciliations of supplier statements.
• Resolving outstanding items and resolving queries on supplier recons.
• Establish and maintain excellent relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
• Ad Hoc reception relief.

Our ideal candidate should have the following:

• National Certificate / NQF level 4.
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills in English.
• A tertiary qualification in Finance would be advantageous.
• 2 - 5 years experience in a finance environment (FMCG will be advantageous).
• Must have strong analytical and numeracy skills.
• The ability to work accurately and consistently attentive to detail.
• The ability to work under pressure & meet deadlines.
• Computer literate in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Knowledge of Syspro will be advantageous.
• The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• The ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
