We are partnering with a highly respected, established Lighting and Furniture Design company with over a decade of experience in the industry. Our client offers a turnkey service that encompasses the design, manufacturing, supply, and installation of premium, bespoke furniture and lighting solutions.
Based in Sunnydale, Cape Town, they are committed to quality and excellence, primarily serving the hospitality industry, including hotels, conference centres, and restaurants. They engage with clients directly, as well as through key industry partners like architects, interior designers, and procurement companies.
The Role
We are seeking a proactive and highly organised individual to take on the pivotal role of Social Media Manager & Project Support. This position requires a unique blend of digital marketing creativity and strong administrative and communication skills to manage both the client-facing and supply-chain-facing aspects of the business.
This is a full-time position available to start immediately.
Key Responsibilities
1. Social Media & Digital Content Management (Primary Function)
- Develop and execute a cohesive social media strategy across all relevant platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram) to effectively target the hospitality industry, architects, and designers.
- Create, curate, and manage all content, including text, image, and video, to showcase the client’s premium products, projects, and expertise.
- Monitor engagement, respond to enquiries, and actively build the brand's online presence and community.
- Stay up-to-date with current digital trends and platform best practices.
2. Sales Support & Project Coordination
- Serve as a key point of contact for direct clients (hotels, conference centres) and trade partners (architects, interior designers, procurement companies).
- Assist the sales team by managing and coordinating the workflow of various projects from initial brief through to final installation.
- Track the progress and installation of projects, ensuring all stakeholders are kept informed and deadlines are met.
- Maintain accurate and organised client, project, and sales records.
3. Administrative & Organisational Duties
- Execute general routine administrative duties to ensure the smooth running of the Sunnydale office.
- Maintain proficiency and effectively use essential business software for daily operations.
Requirements
- Proven experience in social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.
- Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) essential for dealing with discerning clients and professional trade partners.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and proficient in project tracking and management.
- Proficient in the essential business and office software:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Google Workspace (Google Drive, Docs, Sheets)
Remuneration & Location
- Location: Sunnydale, Cape Town
Salary: Negotiable from R17000 per month, commensurate with experience.
