You will be responsible for establishing and maturing organisational ways of working, through:

JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Deep knowledge of the Agile Manifesto and its guiding principles.
- Adhere to and improve the current set of key metrics.
- Expertise in Scrum and Kanban frameworks, including their practical application.
- Excellent facilitation, coaching, and mentoring skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and influencing skills, with the ability to educate and inspire at all levels of the organisation (from developers to non-technical BUs).
- Strong conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities.
- Systems Thinking – the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking).
- Proficiency with or a strong aptitude for leveraging modern AI tools (e.g., generative AI, copilots) to improve process efficiency, team productivity, and metric analysis
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- A tertiary degree or relevant diploma is advantageous.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II), or equivalent certification is required..
- Experience in leading Agile adoption or transformation initiatives across departments is an advantage.
- Agile coaching certification (e.g., ICP-ACC, Certified Agile Coach) is highly advantageous.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a dedicated Scrum Master for multiple software development teams simultaneously.
- Proven experience (2+ years) in an Agile Coach or similar capacity, with a clear track record of designing and delivering training and mentoring teams/stakeholders.
- Experience in a health-tech, fintech, or similarly complex, regulated industry is beneficial.
- Experience working with both co-located and distributed/contractor teams.
- Proficiency with Agile project management tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps).
AGILE & COACHING EXPERIENCE
- In-depth understanding and practical application of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban).
- Strong facilitation techniques for all Scrum events and workshops (e.g., story mapping, retrospectives).
- Demonstrable skills in one-on-one and team coaching, teaching, and mentoring.
- Solid understanding of the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and how Agile practices fit within it.
- Familiarity with modern software development practices (e.g., CI/CD, TDD, BDD) and how they are supported by Agile principles.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCE
- Servant-leader focused on people development and process excellence; self-managing, collaborative, and flexible, skilled at guiding teams through tight timelines and stakeholder demands while embracing innovation, constructive feedback, continual learning, and a growth mindset that challenges the status quo.
SALARY
The proposed salary for the role is R900k per annum. The final offer will be based on market standards, considering the candidate's qualifications, skills, and experience.
