About the position
Purpose of the role:
Sales Manager required for Business Development in an Engineering and Manufacturing sector company. The incumbent will be responsible for leading, coaching, and developing a diverse team of internal and external sales professionals to drive revenue growth, expand market share, and strengthen customer relationships.
Role reports to the General Manager and the Managing Director.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in a technical sales role
- At least 3 years in a managerial position in a similar environment
- Strong technical acumen
- Commercial leadership
- The ability to manage complex B2B sales cycles involving engineered products, solutions, and high-value projects
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership and Team Management:
- Lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team of sales representatives, key account managers, internal sales coordinators, and technical sales engineers
- Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and skills development plans
- Create a positive, accountable, high-performance sales culture
- Recruit, onboard, and train new sales staff
Sales Strategy and Planning:
- Develop and implement annual sales strategies aligned with company targets and operational capabilities
- Define sales KPIs, territory allocations, and product/market segments
- Conduct market research to identify new opportunities, industry trends, and emerging technologies
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and market intelligence dashboards
Customer Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key industrial clients, OEMs, contractors, consulting engineers, distributors, and EPC companies
- Drive customer satisfaction through consistent follow-up, technical support, and value- added service
