Main function
To oversee all related projects. To manage innovation and development, solving commercial challenges and manage the R&D Lab operations

Qualifications
BSc - Chemist / PHD in Chemistry / PHD Food Science

Knowledge and experience

Biopolymer/hydrocolloid background - essential
Organic Chemistry - essential

Technical competencies

• Colloid chemistry
• Emulsions - properties and production
• Micro-emulsions and vesicles
• Manufacture and properties of colloid suspensions and dispersions
• Solid formulations
• Rheology
• Solubility parameters and crystallisation
• Very structured
• Able to define and execute projects
• Able to carry out projects from basic science to product application
• Able to direct lab staff
• Able to interact with product application specialist and customers
• Practical approach

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Management
• Formulation of new products
• Research of new product and processes
• Adjustment and reassessment of current formulations
• Product Application Trials
• Customer Training & Follow-up
• Managing Lab operations and lab staff

Requirements

• 3 - 5 years experience as a Chemist
• Minimum of 3 yrs experience and knowledge on Biopolymer/hydrocolloid and organic chemistry
• Food manufacturing experience
