Postion Summary:
The National Research Foundation (NRF) seeks to make an appointment for the position of Public Relations Officer. Reporting to the Manager: Corporate Communications, the incumbent will be responsible for organizing, overseeing a range of public relations activities and ensuring effective communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of the Internal Communication and Stakeholder Engagement StrategiesLeverage appropriate and innovative internal platforms to engage all NRF employees
- Regularly promote and showcase the OneNRF success story Develop, collate and publish employee profiles, using a variety of channels and platforms
- Manage content on the intranet as the primary repository for employee-related content
- Ensure all internal communication activities adhere to approved strategies, policies and guidelines
- Implement innovative strategies to position the NRF as an employer of choice
- Research, write and edit content for a variety of internal communication channels and platforms within the organisation
- Coordinate the production of internal communications for the NRF Bulletin, at the corporate level
- Research and identify innovative communication platforms and strategies for enhancing employee engagement
- Support the development and initiation of relevant Corporate Social Responsibility programmes for the NRF
- Prepare all necessary monthly, quarterly and post-campaign reports
- Develop issue and risk mitigation strategies , including stakeholder engagement plans, influence strategies, and positioning tactics
Minimum Qualification:
- Bachelors Degree / Advanced Diploma / NQF 7
Minimum Experience:
- A degree in Communications/ Public Relations/Media Studies / Journalism/ or a related field (NQF Level 7)3-5 years of experience in a Corporate Communications/Public Relations/Internal Communications/Stakeholder Management roleAt least 1 year of experience in Campaign Coordination
