About the position
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and grow key customer relationships, including dealer networks, distributors, and national retailers such as Makro, Builders, etc.
- Experience engaging with head offices and procurement teams is highly advantageous
- Proven background in the sale and marketing of consumer-facing products, including appliances, small appliances, and DIY goods
- Identify and pursue expansion opportunities across both established and emerging markets
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to guide strategic planning
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operations, and product development to ensure cohesive go-to-market execution
- Produce and manage accurate sales forecasts, reports, and budgets
- Lead, mentor, and manage a national sales team, working in close coordination with regional branch managers
Minimum Requirements:
- 5-7+ years of senior-level sales leadership experience within B2B product-driven industries
- Proven track record in achieving national sales targets and building high-performing teams
- In-depth experience managing complex sales channels and strategic accounts
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to foster long-term partnerships
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and leadership skills
- Data-driven with the ability to interpret and leverage sales performance metrics
- A tertiary qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business is advantageous
