  • Tertiary qualification in Marketing or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a professional marketing role.
  • South African Citizen or eligible to work in South Africa.

  • Strong awareness of company policies, structure, and business ethics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Solid understanding of marketing best practices, brand strategy, and content creation.

  • Purpose of the Role

The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for leading and implementing the company's marketing strategy to support business growth and brand positioning. This includes managing marketing campaigns, developing content, maintaining brand consistency, overseeing digital platforms, and supporting business development initiatives. The role requires a strategic, hands-on professional with strong creative and analytical skills to ensure impactful marketing execution across all channels.

  • Financial Management
  • Prepare, manage, and monitor marketing budgets for approval by the CEO.
  • Ensure cost-effective allocation and use of company resources.
  • Evaluate the financial aspects of campaigns, including ROI, spend efficiency, and supplier costs.
  • Manage and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure value and compliance.
  • Marketing Strategy & Business Processes
  • Collaborate with the CEO to develop and execute marketing strategies aligned with business objectives.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends and competitor activity to realign strategy as required.
  • Support the development of business development presentations, proposals, and RFP responses.
  • Manage the production of marketing materials and ensure alignment with brand guidelines.
  • Maintain and update the company's visual asset library and branding collateral.
  • Work closely with the PR agency to manage press opportunities and communications.
  • Plan and execute award submissions, industry events, and conference participation.
  • Develop and implement an annual marketing calendar and campaign plan.
  • Digital Marketing & Content Management
  • Curate and manage the company's social media presence, ensuring engaging, on-brand content.
  • Oversee website management-content updates, design refreshes, and traffic optimization.
  • Lead email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp/Wix, including list management and analytics.
  • Oversee content creation, including writing, editing, and publishing long-form and visual materials.
  • Produce and manage digital media content such as videos, photography, and case studies.
  • Monitor campaign performance, prepare monthly and quarterly reports, and present insights to the Executive team.
  • Brand Development & Reputation Management
  • Uphold and enhance the company's brand standards and tone of voice.
  • Develop creative briefs and oversee design, writing, and multimedia projects.
  • Manage internal communications and ensure consistent brand alignment across all departments.
