About the Position

Engineering Manager
To continuously drive process and machine efficiency and maintenance to ensure quality and productions volumes are optimised.
 To provide an annual cost effective maintenance plan for site to reduce cost incurred for breakdown due to poor maintenance and drive 95% uptime for production.
 Ensure improvement in the reliability of equipment by providing expert knowledge and support to ensure company standards and project requirements are achieved.
 Actively drive safety and security on site and ensure 100% compliance with all safety procedures and policies and will be responsibility for GMR2 position to comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
 Drive and support all engineering and process improvement projects to ensure achievement of goals in support of the strategic plan.
 Actively drive water and energy reduction with the aim of improving efficiency of electricity and water consumption.
 Ensure compliance with all financial and reporting requirements including the compilation of budgets and control of expenditure.
 Ensure that all CAPEX proposals are accurately prepared and submitted within agreed time frames and compliance with company standards to facilitate business decision making.
 Develop and execute an annual departmental strategy to support the achievement of the overall business plan.
 To ensure staff are effectively managed and held accountable through performance and disciplinary procedures, and that staff are developed and mentored through the talent management and IDP processes to drive capability in business.

  • Qualification(s)
  •  Grade 12  B.Eng/National Diploma in Mechanical and/or Electrical Engineering.  Possess a Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
  • Knowledge  Strong working knowledge of preventative maintenance systems (facility and equipment).  Knowledge of PLC programming (Allen Bradley), root cause analysis.  Knowledge of SAP
