About the Position

Overall Job Purpose
To proactively acquire new clients and develop, maintain and expand a client portfolio through high touch professional and personalised relationships with high nett worth clients and the provision of holistic and appropriate solutions in meeting client's needs.

Role Responsibilities

  • Achieve revenue targets by either growing a portfolio of existing clients or by acquiring new clients and driving profit growth through reducing cost of capital, increasing transactional revenue and balance sheet growth
  • Maximise cross sell opportunities through the identification of specialist advisory requirements
  • Identify additional financial services requirements through all aspects of the client's balance sheet
  • Understand and market all financial services solutions within the Private Wealth offering
  • Implement, track and report on Client Campaigns and initiatives
  • Proactively manage the growth of the active customer base to increase opportunities for revenue growth
  • Deliver exceptional service that exceeds client expectations through proactive, innovative and appropriate solutions
  • Manage and grow portfolio through proactive client contact. Ensure client retention and satisfaction levels
  • Drive retention of customers through active client engagement and identification of opportunities to ensure client activity
  • Convert leads into successful sales. Achieve individual targets set to appropriate business area or sales plan
  • Source and refer new leads through client interactions
  • Improve service efficiencies for the bank through identifying opportunities, suggesting relevant solutions and ensuring client engagement through electronic platforms

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Finance and/or Economics third year Accounting
  • FAIS accreditation required (RE)
  • 3 to 5 years' relevant client facing experience (Private Banker - Wealth)
  • 5 to 7 years' relevant client facing experience (Private Banker - Ultra High Net Worth)
  • A proven track record of success in building relationships and developing new client relationships Strong background in investments, corporate finance, Private Banking or related advisory services
  • Experience in dealing with complex personal and juristic financial structures
  • Experience in analysing and interpreting complex personal and juristic financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements, financial ratios)
  • Experience in structuring non-traditional security-based lending facilities
  • Experience in providing tailored solutions to significant families
  • Experience in advising clients regarding Company Succession Planning
  • Experience in dealing with clients and structures across various jurisdictions
  • Product knowledge in Capital markets, risk management, investment management, trust and estate planning would be an advantage
