You're detail-obsessed and take pride in clean, accurate work. You communicate clearly and comfortably across time zones, and you thrive in fast-paced project environments where deadlines matter. Working independently doesn't faze you - in fact, you enjoy owning your output and collaborating remotely with international teams.
You'll create detailed electrical designs for commercial and utility-scale solar PV systems. From string layouts and single-line diagrams to panel schedules, your work will be central to project execution. You'll ensure compliance with codes, update design registers, and maintain version control. You'll work closely with U.S.-based engineers to meet deadlines and ensure precision across all deliverables.
Our client is a U.S.-based leader in the renewable energy sector, specialising in large-scale solar developments. Operating at the forefront of commercial solar innovation, they've built a collaborative culture that spans continents. Their South African team works fully remotely, playing a key role in projects that power sustainable growth across the U.S.
You have at least 3 years of electrical drafting experience, ideally in solar or MEP settings. You're proficient in AutoCAD and confident interpreting electrical schematics. Bonus points if you've used tools like Helioscope or PVsyst. Above all, you're accurate, methodical, and comfortable working late shifts aligned with U.S. Central Time.
