Job Title:
Clinical Facilitator – General Nursing
Location:
Cape Town, South Africa
(Private Hospital | Full-Time)
Introduction:
A well-established private hospital in Cape Town is seeking a dynamic and experienced Clinical Facilitator to support the General Nursing team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in staff development, bedside teaching, and maintaining clinical excellence across various general nursing wards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate clinical teaching and mentoring for General Nurses (including staff and student nurses).
- Conduct practical assessments, in-service training, and skills audits.
- Coordinate learning and development initiatives in line with hospital policy and SANC requirements.
- Support new nurse onboarding, orientation, and clinical integration.
- Ensure ongoing professional development through workshops and evidence-based training.
- Collaborate with unit managers, HR, and external nursing education institutions.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
- Education/Clinical Facilitator qualification
- 3–5 years' experience in a general ward environment (medical/surgical/orthopaedics etc.).
- Previous experience in training or mentoring nursing staff.
- Excellent understanding of adult learning principles and clinical competencies.

- Strong clinical knowledge across multiple general nursing disciplines.
