Based in Centurion, our client is a well-established investment group with interests spanning complex operations and growth-driven projects in the mining and gas sector. They’re looking for an Accountant who can take full ownership of the finance function while understanding the commercial story behind the numbers.

Whether you’ve just completed your articles or already have solid industry experience, this role offers a platform to grow in a business where finance plays a key strategic role.

What you’ll be doing:

• Managing accounts up to management reporting level
• Handling journals, reconciliations, and balance sheet integrity
• Running month-end processes and contributing to reporting
• Overseeing AP, AR, and cashbook activities
• Supporting budgets, forecasts, and performance analysis
• Assisting with audits and compliance requirements
• Strengthening financial processes and controls
• Providing insights to guide operational decisions

What you’ll need:

• BCom qualification (Accounting/Finance)
• Completed articles + 2 years’ experience OR 3–5 years in a commercial environment
• Solid understanding of end-to-end accounting
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-starter with ownership mindset
• Industry exposure (mining, energy, gas, investments) is beneficial
