As the Workshop Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of workshop operations, ensuring productivity, safety, and service delivery.


Your key responsibilities will include:

Workshop Productivity & Performance: Implement strategies to enhance workshop efficiency, optimize workflow, and maintain high productivity levels.

Service Delivery to Customers: Ensure timely and quality service delivery to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Operational & Financial Efficiencies: Manage workshop operations to achieve operational excellence and financial targets.

Leadership and Management: Lead and manage a team of approximately 30 individuals, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high performance and employee satisfaction.

Supply Chain Management: Oversee the supply chain and flow of spares/materials, ensuring adequate inventory levels and timely procurement to support workshop operations.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and experience:

• A Technical Trade Certification (Fitter/Turner or Millwright) or equivalent qualification.
  
• Previous experience leading a workshop of a similar size, preferably working on repair and refurbishment projects (earth moving equipment)
  
• Financial Exposure related to workshop figures, targets, WIP etc..
  
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team of about 39 (based at multiple sites).
  
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  
• Proven track record in driving operational efficiencies and achieving targets.
  
• Knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices.
