About the position

Our client, in Port Elizabeth is currently looking to employ a Technical Sales Representative in the HVAC / Engineering industry.

Requirements:

  • Matric and a Technical Trade Test - Refrigeration Mechanic (Industrial) essential. 
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems is essential. 
  • Sales / Business Development experience essential.
  • Proven track record selling complex enterprise or HVAC solutions will be advantageous.
  • Valid Code 08 Driver’s License and own vehicle to travel to clients, with expenses reimbursed.
  • Ability to creatively explain and present complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Clear criminal record and medical certificate of fitness as well as continual maintenance thereof.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Customer Satisfaction – always the main objective.
  • Lead a minimum of two technology demos to named engineering firms, clients and consulting engineers on a weekly basis.
  • Customer Interaction - Collaborate with consultants, engineers, owners, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements. Conduct on-site visits to demonstrate the company's technology and provide technical guidance.
  • Maintain and expand existing client database and provide details on clients that have been contacted and what their feedback has been.
  • Product Knowledge - Understand the features and benefits of our products and how they meet customer requirements.
  • Provide feedback to improve products based on customer input and market trends.
  • Sales Targets - Achieve assigned new spec sales targets and contribute to the overall attainment of the commercial sales goal.
