About the position
Hire Resolve's client is seeking a dynamic and talented Supply Chain Graduate to join their team in the Agriculture Industry in the Western Cape region. The ideal candidate will have a background in supply chain management or a related field and a passion for the agricultural industry. This role will involve working closely with various teams across the supply chain to ensure a smooth and efficient flow of products from suppliers to customers.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of products
- Monitor and track inventory levels to prevent stockouts or excess inventory
- Assist in the development of supply chain strategies and initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate all aspects of the supply chain, including production, procurement, logistics, and distribution
- Analyze supply chain data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for optimization
- Communicate regularly with key stakeholders to provide updates on the status of supply chain operations
- Assist in the resolution of supply chain issues and conflicts as they arise
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a B.Eng. Degree
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to job rotate and be away from the appointed place of work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of agricultural industry practices and trends is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and supply chain management software
- Willing to work on a fixed 18-month contract
