Superintendent (Occupational Hygienist) at Glencore

About the position

• Ensure that the operational process operates effectively from a current and future best practice perspective.
• Monitor health and safety risks in terms of ventilation to the Operational Units to support the HSEC and Mine Manager.
• Advise on appropriate actions to minimize potential risks through the effective monitoring of safety strategy achievement.

About you:

• Chamber of Mines (COM) Advanced Certificate in Mine Environmental Control
• An Occupational Hygiene or other relevant tertiary qualification
• 5 years practical experience including services in the ventilation and occupational hygiene field in the mining industry
• Member of Mine Ventilation Society of South Africa
• Extensive knowledge of occupational health and hygiene legislation
